Qurbani Program Overview – 2025
Sudan Volunteers Organization (SVO) is spearheading a robust Qurbani Food Distribution Program, ensuring the delivery of fresh bovine meat to vulnerable refugee and host communities throughout Eastern Chad and Darfur, Sudan. This critical initiative directly supports over 90,000 families residing in high-risk, food-insecure regions of sub-Saharan.
Program Reach
• Total Beneficiaries: 90,000 families
• Eastern Chad: 80,000 families across multiple refugee camps
• North Darfur, Sudan: 10,000 families in and around Al-Fashir
Distribution Locations
The program covers a wide network of refugee camps and host communities, including:
Eastern Chad (Refugee Camps):
Zabout, Kerfi, Goz-Beida, Goz-Amir, Tregin, Bregin, Dougie, Alacha, Arkoum, Meteche, Aboutangue, Farchana, Koushagen, Mile, Kourshigui, Touloum, Iridimi, and Tina.
Sudan:
Al-Fashir and surrounding areas, North Darfur State.
Livestock Prepared for Distribution
• Cattle (Cows): 700
• Sheep: 100
All livestock have been selected, prepared, and processed following Qurbani (Udhiya) religious and health standards.
